Taiaha has feathers decorating the shaft. Made in NZ from sustainably harvested tulip wood.

The Arero tongue has been fully carved on both sides with pāua eyes in the Upoko (head) where the base from which the tongue protrudes. The Ate (liver) is the flattened wooden end which was used for striking has been carved as well.
